Hong Kong Madness!

NPCC Hong Kong & Macau Overseas Educational Visit Trip 2009

The long awaited trip of the year has finally arrived! Secondary 3 cadets from all the various schools were selected for this trip and I was one of the lucky 30. Feeling very anxious yet excited, 17th November, the first day of the Hong Kong and Macau Overseas Educational Visit came closer inch by inch. With 30 cadets, 4 CIs, and 6 officers, we took off to Hong Kong!

At the very beginning, I was worried that I could not go along with the others, also more when I was the only one from my unit. However, after 7 days, my thought has changed. We arrived at the airport and took a 4 hour plane ride to Hong Kong International Airport. It was my first plane ride for many years and I felt very honoured to be in this trip. Once in Hong Kong, we wasted no time and immediately went to the coach. Our tour guide, Patrick, was a friendly yet funny person who helped to bring out Hong Kong to us. After dinner, we went to Victoria Peak, a famous spot for tourists to view the whole island as well as its brightly lighted up buildings in Hong Kong. At there, we also visited Madam Tussand’s Wax Museum, where we saw the very real model of many famous people, such as Hilter, Barack Obama and Jackie Chan. I had fun taking photos with my group while attempting to impersonate the models there. Following that, we went up to the top and never thought it would be that cold. We quickly snapped some shots and took a tram down the peak. Day One was nearing the end as we checked into our hotel and turned in for the night

A long day ahead of us and we met up for breakfast first thing in the morning. Our first dim sum in Hong Kong and it felt nothing I have ever tasted before. During this time, we met with some the Junior Police Call (JPC) members, who agreed to follow us to the Old Central Police Station. The JPC organise their own activities and also help the police in protecting the city. We could look around at the historical police building and learn more the history of the police force in Hong Kong. It was a big place including old jail cells, court and barracks. Our excitement rose as we visited the next place after lunch, the Hong Kong Police College. The Police College/Training School we always see in the Hong Kong dramas are finally right in front of us! We went through a short lecture and a tour around the place. Luckily, we also had an opportunity to look at their drill session, with trainees in their smart green uniform. We learnt that only the top 10-20% applicants can to train as a police in their 14 weeks training. We went to their Police Tactical Village there and learnt how the police train in their weapons. Before dinner we headed to Avenue of Stars, where we could find handprints of famous Hong Kong singers and actors imprinted on the ground. It was a long stretch of walk near the open sea and nice scenery of building behind it. Dinner we had BBQ with the JPC members, where we interacted more with them, sharing our NPCC experience and learning their experience in JPC. We had sing-along with them after that, where we practiced songs we learnt as well as learn new songs from them. It was like a mini campfire and everyone felt very high!

Day 3. Getting used to the weather. We departed for the Police Tactical Unit located in New Territories. Our very first souvenir shop and all of us were eager to buy something back for our unit. We were also allowed into their Tactical Vehicles used for riots and emergency. Hong Kong Police Dog Unit was our next stop. It was an interesting place located at the New Territories. We were introduced to the dog unit with us learning interesting facts, including 101 dogs working in the unit and dogs being trained to patrol, sniff out drugs and detect bombs. Very useful in protecting the country from any terrorism or crime. Demonstration of the dogs in training and their very own dog examination were shown to us before we had photo taking session with the Police Dogs. In the afternoon, we took a police coast guard boat to Cheung Chau Island, a small island with established shops and restaurants. At the island, we visited the JPC Clubhouse there, one of the three main clubhouses in Hong Kong. We had some fun games there, and had our tour around the island. We went shopping before taking the ferry back to Hong Kong.

Half the trip has already gone and it could not have gotten more exciting. We could not wait for the shopping at Ladies Street later in the day. However, we had to visit the Central Police Station, where we can witness how the police handle crimes through interrogation and collecting evidence. NPCC had also prepared a powerpoint presentation for the JPC members in exchange. Still in our full uniforms, we headed to the Taipo JPC Clubhouse for our exchange program. Tired but still awaiting shopping at night, we quickly changed out of our uniforms and brought our “heavy” wallets there, waiting to spend the money we brought. There we split into our groups and attempted to bargain our way through the shops. My first time bargaining to lower the overpriced items and it was a good experience for me. I have learnt that we cannot always give in to the shopkeepers as they wont have business without us. With our hands full of bags, we returned to the hotel, full of joy and yet regretting that we spent only 1 and a half hours there.

DISNEYLAND! That was all we were thinking about the night before. Now it’s time to go there. All of us felt very fortunate to go Disneyland on such a trip and enjoy ourselves after 4 days of visiting police centres. Moreover, it was a full day there. We had an enriching animation course in the morning at Disneyland, where we had many hands on activities including a small 3D movie clip of my favourite Disney cartoon characters, as well as learning how to make animation out of drawings. My favourite was the drawing of the Mickey Mouse, which I have not done before. Simple yet very familiar to all of us. We were given meal coupons and after lunch at Disneyland, we had our free time. My group first went to Space Mountain, a roller coaster ride. It was so thrilling that we took it 4 times. Along the way we bought Disneyland souvenirs, which was not very cheap but serve as good gifts. There was also a big castle in the Disneyland, which reminded me of my childhood times and all the Disney movies I have watched. We did not left out Tarzan and its tree house, a structure which looks a lot like a real treehouse.

Lastly, we had firework display at night, which really wow-ed all of us. The best I have ever seen. Feeling sad to leave Disneyland, a place that we go only a few times, we took many group photos to remember the place.

The trip was nearing to the end and we all wished the days could last a little longer. Day 6 and we had to leave Hong Kong to Macau by ferry. At Macau we met we the Flying Eagles, an organisation, like the JPC, which handle huge gatherings and emergencies. At their clubhouse, we played many ice breaking and interactive games, which I hope through it, we would remember each other.

7 days have past so fast that we hardly believe that we have been overseas for one week. All missing the dim sum and weather in Hong Kong, we had a final taste of Hong Kong by visiting the historical place such as the Macau Maritime Museum, A-ma Temple and The Ruins of St Paul.

It was time to bid goodbye to all my fellow friends and officers as we promised to meet up again. This trip had been a memorable one for me, as I have the chance to interact with cadets the same year as me, especially when we shared our own experiences in NPCC. I told myself that I would go back to Hong Kong. Not just for the food, but also for the memories I had there with all my new made friends from NPCC, JPC and the Flying Eagles! Three cheers to them!

Hope

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;

And sore must be the storm

That could abash the little bird

That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,

And on the strangest sea;

Yet, never, in extremity,

It asked a crumb of me.

Long hours

First thing in the morning: 4 hours of chem!! in the ava room with mrs ang. Longest atp ever and cant believe i survived it. At first i thought it was 10 to 12 until i asked my friends.. and caused sean to be late :( ps. Class was extremely noisy today >:(, since we had lessons together with 3/1 and found it impossible to focus at all. Learnt about production of ammonia and did lots of revision. Gave us new homework too. After chem, we had ss project at my home with kk, zx and yw. Haha, listened to the national day rally speech twice and laughed lots, especially when we found a new pic of "someone". Slacked much but at least we did something. Meeting them again when school reopens. They went home at 6 and i went to bathe. Sadly, dx could not come because of scouts.
Tomorrow would be another long day! Whole day in school preparing ourselves for the big day. We would be staying overnight in school too O.o Sigh, holidays ending so soon, and still have not started on maths yet. DEAD!
Chem, Eng, Ting Xie, SS and Geog Test next week.... faints

Before the worst

September holidays are here! Wow, feels so great at the same time, but when i look at the pile of homework beside me, my world just flipped. Now already the teachers are giving homework like "free", i cant imagine what it would be like last year :( Oh no, starting to feel the stress >< I MUST NOT GIVE UP! Ok, today had bio atp in the morning. Came a little early and chatted awhile with the others in the canteen before going to the all so familiar bio lab. Teck hwa did not turn up O.o and we learned about homeostasis, about how the body regulates its temperature, etc, and also about the skin and its parts. Ended at 9:30 and since we had nothing to do, we did homework in the canteen and comp lab after ben invited us there. Only managed to complete chem :( Almost 11:30, i went to clementi to have lunch with sam and jackson before we had qc in school. Packed abit then slacked and at 1, not everyone was here yet. Qc officially started at 2, so end time delayed by 1 hour. We had self-study and it was ok, after 1 hour we had break and after another hour, we were so bored that we played basketball. Haha, very fun until mr chan called us back since we forgot the break was long over=x Last 45 minutes, we chiong study to complete the spf knowledge. Only 4 days left till the big day!? Time really flies. Finally ended and when i thought we could go home, mr chan called us to help in moving things around the staff room. Exhausted but still feeling great, i went home. Back to reality and i really hope i will stop wasting time(that means focusing on my homework)!

Moods

Traffic Lights :)
If you are happy, you become driven for success
If you are moodless, you slow down
If you are sad, you come into a complete stop

Humans learn only by trial and error.
"You've got to live life, not think about it. Step into the midst of things, try and fail and learn and stand up again. The question is not whether you will or will not make mistakes - you will. The question is do you want to learn and grow, or do you want to shrink back and be stuck? Take that step you've been avoiding. You can succeed, or you can get feedback that it didn't work, but in either case you are sure to feel alive."

Seasick

Spent my National Day with my family:) Had a church outing, dinner and ferry all in one. First went to Grace Assembly before taking a bus to Marine South Pier. Met my aunt there too! Never went to that pier before and heard it was newly built. Explored the place alittle before we started our church session in the restaurant booked for us. Had a great time and learnt about the three happiness in life- to watch our children grow up, to be trouble-free, and to believe in GOD! Haha, had some ice-breaking games and then as time flew by, we had a small break time before dinner, where we went up to the rooftop garden. Felt like a storm up there, where gusts of wind flew by and i felt happy and blown:D Took some photos before having a buffet dinner. Everyone was starving and all 200 people rushed to attack the food:) Had lucky draw but i guess im not lucky enough. Haha, did not win anything. Does not matter anyways, headed to the jetty where we were to board the 3 boats. It was then where i started to feel sick. The boat was rocking on the choppy waters like nobody's business, and we had to wait quite long before we set out into the sea. It was already pitch black in the darkness. It was a gratifying experience as i had never been on a boat before. Once, the police coast guard warned us that we could not stop in that particular area, so the boat captain drove us to another area. Sigh, waited dam long for the fireworks at the ndp parade to start. Moreover, when everything ended, we were all disappointed as we expected more >< Went home and started on my bio worksheet.
Today, rushed through my remaining homework and had to settle my cca stuff. Also watched the ndp encore since i missed it yesterday. Haha, only loved the first part involving Mark Lee, Suhaimi Yusof and "Sang Nila Utama". Another school day tomorrow and im so not prepared for 4 periods of bio in the morning!><

Happiness

Had a slightly better week! FINALLY! On Monday, learnt titration from miss liang, quite fun but had to wash so many times >< "Accuracy is very important in titration". Yay, no chinese for the day(supposed to have chinese atp but yang lao shi was on leave. For PC, Mr Kanan talked about self esteem, and complete a worksheet that intended to make us happy at the end of the lesson by praising our strengths:) It really worked for me lols.
Tuesday, prize giving on shooting in assembly, wow, finally had assembly after 1 month. Had bio practical on starch test before we played captain's ball for pe. Slacked at maths and had english compre test, lol, we have taken the compre before ><. Stayed back after school to support my class captain's ball team :)
Wednesdayyy, had a ss quiz, lol, luckily got study and he wants it to be included as a test mark. Sigh, im getting sick of tests! Mr Kanan did not come now and yang lao shi took over his period. Last period and me and jackson were called out by mr chan. Lol, went around the school getting quiz com and the sec 2 cadets.. We were late and the outcome wasnt so good >< Went to the police Heritage centre at New Phoneix Road and had a fun time there, taking down notes while the sec 2s had a tour around.
Today! Had chinese letter writing test first thing in the morning. Crossing my fingers that i did not write out of point >< Then had a chem lesson, went through worksheet and then bio test. I was so happy that i managed to complete all the questions :) Had maths lesson and miss liang thought us a new property of circle, about the tangents. Very confusing at first, but got used to it, and we did the exercise questions. Geog lesson, got back the test, finally, yay, beat yw by 1 mark =x Then had a video, which, sadly, was very "interesting". After school, had Australian Maths Comp, haha, was as hard as i expected.. Then went over for extra parade with the sec 1s. Hoped that they learnt something today.
National Day Celebrations tomorrow! Finally, a longer weekend:) Haha, thanks Singapore! Want to go destress after that:) Sian, lots of things to do in the weekend and have to read finish some books, due date coming argh!

SELF-ESTEEM

A pretty crazy day! Woke up and rushed through everything as always..(haha, i really should kick off this habit, but it wont be helpful anways). Ok, had chem quiz for the first two periods. We had a relief but still had the quiz on cations and anions. Sigh, boring quizes! After recess it was maths time, not particularly interesting, just realised im deproving badly in maths haha. Just cant see through the questions :( Before i knew it, we were having geog lessons. Went through rivers before we had the test. Haha, did not expect it to be 30 marks but it was ok, making some errors here and there. No assembly again! Ok, had quizes again == This time on Olympics and Bully Campaign. Finally, lessons ended and slacked until 2+ when we prepared for our first friday parade since school reopened. Parade went better than expected. lk took over the sec 1s drill session :) Wow, he made the cadets change O.o Had two cc and everyone was restless at the end. Taught the cadets all the bends and revised the others. Parade was fast and it ended with debrief. Learnt many things from today's parade:) One is to have the confidence, only then we can make the impact on others. Another is to have teamwork, working together as squad ncos.

Ultimately, we cannot let go of things too quickly, it would slip into the air and before you know it, it will not come back ever again.. If we wont work hard for the things we want to achieve, it would just always be false hope.

3 days of np in a row. Wow, going to be another busy weekend with heaps of homework as always, and with ndp rehearsal at ulu pandan cc tmr><

Hard but worth it?

Woke up and packed my bag before going to school. Haha, I thought i lost my bio notes and frantically tried to find it. Turned out it was hiding under a stack of books ==. Had our temperature taken before going to bio lab for lessons. Sigh, my bio is definitely deproving:(
Have to buck up and try to catch up... "We will never know until we try". Had chem prac by miss liang and had an experiment on cations(blurness), haha, still more interesting than theory lessons. RECESS! Went to library for 3 periods of pc/cme by mr kanan :) Circle time again :) And strength cards. Mine was encouraging zhi wen lols. We were taught the "Reality" Ride by mr kanan. He taught us about the two tracks in life, one is the fast and easy track, which gives you the thrill of your life, but in the end, it would lead to your downfall. The other was the "Hard but worth it" track, which gives you the opportunity, freedom and self respect. I have also learnt that there are no shortcuts in life, and also to plan ahead for our future. It reminded me of the "Tortoise and the Hare" story:) Next, we had the "finger" game which concentrated on how prepared we are. On top of that, we also went to the hall for a game. This game was about stepping on the number cards 1-30 in the fastest time. Teamwork was the key to success. Ok, after that, we had english where our teacher flared up as some of us did not complete her work. She cooled down shortly and we had group work, a planning for argumentative essay topics. Yay, she did not give us any homework:P (finally..)

Ok lessons ended and I went to the np room for a short meeting around 45 mins. Mr Chan talked about our responsibility as ncos before discussing about the ndp parade at Ulu Pandan CC. Went back to class for chinese atp, haha, yang lao shi was talking about who a man who save if the person he loves and his mother are both drowning. Turns out that her theory was that men would usually save his mother. Hm, i wonder. Almost slept in her class which ended at 4, wow, cant believe i managed not to sleep haha. Sigh, i still cant escape yet. Had quiz com training at 4 until 6.

Overslept on the bus on my way back :( Landed and found myself at humes avenue == Sigh, lucky still in bukit batok. Tried to find my way back to home even though took quite a long time to reach home. Didnt bother to take the bus since i wanted to walk. Had a late dinner and realised that my whole day had already gone =o

Ok, still have to settle sec 1 stuff, bio worksheet and cme reflection!
Haha, wasnt such a bad day after all, and enjoyed myself at school :D

FRUSTRATION

Sigh, another hectic and disgusting weekend... I seriously hate maths! MATHS HOMEWORK IS THE WORST! ><><) Champion was Raffles (expected), runner up was Hwa Chong (expected) and third was Nanyang Girls (again, expected). Haha, 17 schools participated and more than three quarters did badly for the questions we set. O.o, it was definitely not easy for them. After that, went for lunch and to Ulu Pandan CC with Mr Chan, CI Ben, Eugene, Jw and jackson. Had to racky the place cos had some parade there and our school is participating in it. Mr Chan drafted out the plan for the parade.. Kinda complicated but we must make it possible :) At about 2+, took a bus to clementi interchange and then to Beauty World.. 173 took like ages to arrive..! Did not have any mood for pool, and wasted my time there. Ok, walked home and was stuck at homework for the whole day.

SUNDAY!
Woke up and started on maths hw. This was when the frustration took place :( Sigh, on the bright side, going out with my dad in the afternoon :) Yay, finally watched Harry Potter with my dad since did not watch it with my friends on friday. Hm, the show was not that bad, but the sad thing was they cancelled too many scenes.. Quite different from the story since they combined many parts together even though the flow was good. RON IS SO COOL! haha my favourite joker. Argh, Dumbledore died, haha, during the "super fast and weird" ending, the cinema so silent == I still prefer the book :)Spent the rest of my day completing English compo and maths homework.. Going back to school tomorrow, and two tests on friday O.o My comp still having repair:( The end =/

Sometimes I feel like the catcher in the rye
Sometimes I wish that I could catch her eye
Sometimes I wish that I could be that guy
Yeah...time is passing by I'm losing my mind
This could be the end or its just the beginning

Time flies and going back to school tomorrow. Not particularly sad about it, but theres ss test tomorrow >< Sigh, found out shooting results yesterday.. The boys team did not perform particularly well, on the bright side, the girls team is second in the whole NPCC ^^ Congratulations to them! There's always a second chance:) Just completed Newspaper article.. lols supposed to be done like 2 days ago. Slacked today, and helped out in cooking =P Haha, first time i cooked my own lunch :) I have learnt something,"The food that you cook is always delicious" Updated the job allocation in the afternoon. Have to complete all the homework by today=( Yay, tomorrow going to watch harry potter. Slackiest(Happiest) week ever! INSPIRATION VS ASPIRATION

Qurantined!

First day of qurantine. Woke up at 8 when miss liang called me for my temp. Thankfully, it was 36.0.. Sigh, could not sleep again and thought of my classmates suffering in school :) hehe. Went on messenger to chat with ys, zx, ben and wh. At least 10 people were qurantined in my class. Lol, 1st case in new town. Hmm, planning to complete quiz com stuff and homework today.(must also finish my storybook today) Haha, feels like a holiday :) Wow, 5 periods of maths, 4 periods of eng, chinese and bio fly away alr in these two days. Hope i wont miss much :( Sigh, talking about missing, im missing my classmates too. Lol, school is fun with all my friends :)

Finally, a break? Maybe

"Overcome your weaknesses and hope for the best"

Shooting!

Ok, had school as normal. Well, maybe not. Started with MT, where yang lao shi started a new chapter. Haha, i find her lessons meaningful =x, maybe its just me. Next, we had pe... omg we had soccer and never played it for almost a year. Felt like a noob and became tired and frustrated after a while. After a break, 3/5 challenged our class in soccer, the All Stars game. Yay, it was recess. Wasting no time, went back to class and tried to do last minute studying for my chem test after recess. Haha, its something called"bu yao bao fo jiao", something that im going to do from now on =x. Changed to school uniform and mrs ang came in a few minutes later with her new dress == Started the test and finished it in 20minutes. Thankfully, it was not a super duper hard test, felt like a giveaway lols. Yang lao shi came in to take over miss liang's maths test. It was graphs and we all rushing to complete 2 graphs in less than 1 period. Felt like a speed test, and i managed to complete it in time. So happy =x. LOL, we were like 15 minutes late for bio in the lab and i thought mr chan would alr scream at us. He did not and we continued on transport of water in plants. Period ended and I went to canteen at 1 for lunch before shooting com. Before we knew it, we were at HTA. Walked to the range complex before we were informed that we had to register first. The first event was the boys .22 individual and we were sent to the range. Sat at the viewing gallery before the briefing. Lol, the air con was getting into me. Went to the briefing room, before entering the range. Wow, looked at the other competitors and they looked so serious. Haha, definitely made me worried. Ok, shot my figure 2. 8 in 0 out. Moved on to the round 2. That was the part that changed everything >< I tried aiming off and the shots went to high. All at the 2,4 and 6s.. knew that I would not make it. Trying to calm down, I went for round 3 and aimed at the centre. Managed to score 130, while the highest was godlike=x 182. Felt disappointed at first but was cheered up by my team mates after we walked back to the cafeteria. Hazimah and HIdayah was 1st and 5th respectively. Haha, even though it was not expected, we achieved something and did our best. We shared our experiences and felt sorry for mr chan as we did not performed well enough. Next was the team and the 10 of us geared up and encouraged each other before the moment of truth. Felt better with my team by my side and shot better. Teamspirit really helps:) Haha, many thanks to all the supporters who supported us to the end. We did our best and even though some of us are disappointed, we will bring back glory to the unit. LOTS of walking! Walked countlessly around the HTA, and waited for the bus.

Went back to school and had dinner at Pizza Hut in Clementi. Yay, mr chan treated us and it was like 12 dollars per person. Went home at about 9.30. An long day! Immediately bathed and slumped into bed.

Miss liang called me and found out that I was quarantined for 2 days. Haha gonna miss loads of lessons.. On the bright side, can slack at home ^^

i love clouds!

Yay, today is holi-holi day!:D Its youthday but did not feel youthful at all. Haha, did not update for a long time =x Had a bad night yesterday, rolling in bed and could not sleep... Woke up feeling naueous and rushed through the newspapers to find some current affairs to set. =O Left home at 9.40 and walked to Beauty World mac for qc. Suprisingly, today's qc did not feel fun at all, doing questions and summary. Lol, we had to set goals and mine was "Emerge the champion", sounds very far but I will work hard for it :D (Should have written "Make mr chan happy") Skipped lunch and went to play pool instead. 16 balls and 6 holes!(not forgetting tyco-ness) Played for 2+ hours and some of us needed to go while the rest attacked dota. Took a detour to the bus stop to send my friends off and walked home. Raindrops came pouring on me but i didnt bother to take out my umbrella =P Had fun walking in the rain and drinking peach pearl but before I knew it, the rain stopped =( Didnt bother to bathe and I went straight to the comp before doing my homework.

*Sighs* Going back to school tomorrow and another busy week.. (Hope I can survive and live another day for you) If only time could stop, and days would pass by longer..

Nobody's perfect

Like smoke through the keyhole, time flies by so fast and before we know it, we would face another mountain of our life. Have faith in ourselves and never give up on the things we would want to accomplish (even the siliest thing on earth) even on our last breath.

"Life is a game of chances and opportunities"

Feels like my lifes been passing by
With happiness just bein' a lie
How did I get here, where am I going?
One more day without knowing
Struggling for one more breathAs Im drowning in a painful death
Can someone reach out for me?
In this dark and dreary sea

Happiness is a warm puppy

Within our lifespan, true happiness pass by us so many times, but we are too occupied to even realise it.

Everyone have their strengths and weaknesses. Its just that some notice their weaknesses more than their strengths

~Going to start reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince before the show :)

A streak of insanity

Woke up and the first thing i did was to measure my temperature. Relieved when my temp. was 36.4(due to past events). Slacking at home, trying to do some work when i can. Yay, my sis coming back from taiwan today, hopes nothing happened to her(so i can receive gifts from her haha). Another day and its the weekends! Wow, time flies so fast that i can hardly "breathe". July would be another hectic month, with so many things on my list. Its boring at home, and feels like playing pool again =x Okayy.. Today a popstar died, guess who? Its MJ! and everyone seems so sad about it O.o. From this, I learnt that we should cherish life as much as we can, as we wont know when it will end.

Challenges bring out the best

A chance to fix mistakes

Im going to live for you

What a day! Went for qc in the morning until 10.30 and did questions. Lots of things happened and before we knew it, we were hailing cabs to Beauty World again(i promised it would be the last time this month xD). The new staff room was already completed and many teachers flooded the room when we passed by. Hooray, our principal told us that cca would be suspended for the first week of school(i really hope so) but denied early release on school days :( Was also reminded that I would be having maths test when school reopens >< Wow, the flu seems to be getting worse and sigh, we might get infected anytime =x We ate a fast brunch and yx came to join us. The nine of us booked two pool tables and started. Haha, many rivalry took place but we had lots of fun(also to keep things[some scary thoughts]off our minds...). I did not play well in the beginning but after much spectating, I made a comeback. Haha, CHALK WAS FREE! After two hours, we stopped and the five of us(excluding me,jackson and yy) decided to play dota. We sat at the side watching them play seriously and lots of "wonderful language" entered our holy ears, haha jk. I was bored in less than half an hour and talked abit with jackson and yy. Nevertheless, jw had to go for tuition and thank god, the lan session ended early. Samuel went to meet with his friend while I went home, the others might be going bowling.

Finally a break for me and I promised myself to enjoy the last few days of holidays.. even with workplan to complete. Realised that with patience and determination, anything's possible :) (even if we have to recover from our setbacks and stand with someone beside you)

Lord I give You my heart
I give You my soul
I live for You alone
Every breath that I take
Every moment I'm awake
Lord have Your way in me

Empty-ness

Felt super empty today and i have no idea why. I met jackson in school after the sec 2 cadets left for their sana course. and went to clementi mac for breakfast with nick. Discussed about the timeline for AC before going back to school for our AC meeting with lk. We had a tough time deciding a place for the outdoor activity for the first day. Out of ideas, lk, camp ics and me wanted to explore Kent Ridge Park. Haha, we lost our way, took 33 to kent ridge terminal, took bus 10 to Ha Par Villa and was not even close to Kent Ridge Park. Since we were at Ha Par Villa, we decided to roam around and even went into the Courts of Ten Hells. There were many figures displaying the "hell" sinners are punished in, and it was scary but very interesting. After that, we walked aimlessly into Science Park and we were already very tired by then. The never ending rainfall made things worse and we were walking in the rain for most of the journey. Thankfully (luckily), we met a bus driver who agreed to take us to Kent Ridge Park after lk persuaded the kind bus driver. If it was not for him, we would not be able to make it. Haha, after hours of finding the park, we finally found it and decided to walk the treetop trail and decide whether it would be suitable for our outdoor activity of the first day of AC. After the walk, we took bus to Habourfront mrt before going to Clementi (wow, it feels like we travelled from one end of Singapore to another =x). We ate late lunch at mos before going home at 4. It was a long yet eventful day, nevertheless, i had fun with my friends.

I wish i could be,
Somebody else.
I wish i could see, you and myself.
I wish there was something inside me, to keep you beside me.
And say, what you really feel.
You know i need, something that's real.
I wish there was something inside me, to keep you beside me.

Another day..

Woke up and splashed cold water on my face until i was awake. Turned into a sleepy being as I arrived at school early in the morning to bring my sec 1 cadets for their road safety course. Had to settle their attendance and temp. (curse the flu) on the bus during our bus ride to East Coast Park. Haha, we left the sec 1 cadets in the lecture room and we (ncos, CI Ben, Mr Ho and Ms Lai) went to sit down at Carls Jr to chat and buy time. The cadets were so envious when we guiltily held the drinks in our hands when they finished their test at around 12.30. We headed back to school and the morning was already over. Haha, when we arrived at school, got our students jaywalking and the sec 1s were like "Hey, they never practice road safety ar". While we were changing, mr woo suddenly popped out of nowhere and decided to discuss about the sec 1s over lunch at SP. Hooray, mr woo treated us with Pizza Hut and after eating, we had to go through the workplan. Feeling tired, I again spent the rest of the afternoon playing...(hint: starts with p and ends with l) Lol, couldnt resist again. Sigh, three hours later and im making my way back home, keep thinking about shooting com. Argh, holidays are now so packed and so many things to do! :( Haha, i really have to start rearranging my life.

Going to redo workplan, my quiz questions and start thinking of a theme for AC.

Another day has gone by so quickly and tomorrow im going to have my second AC meeting =D

The first perfect day

As you all know, this blog is about my "perfect" days. So lets start off with my first one :D Haha, it seems so hard to get over the pool craze/addiction, and i went to play pool AGAIN! >< Feeling so guilty... as i went with all my friends and classmates after my chinese lesson and bio prac. I arrived at school at 8.30 and chatted in the canteen until 9.10. Yang laoshi was late for 10 mins but we all didnt seem to mind. Her lesson was awesome as her "sidetracks" managed to teach us many nice language and words to use in our compo. She also went through our compo we did before the holidays and was surprised that we had many chinese pros in our class(not including me of course). Haha, lesson was delayed by 1 hour and it ended at 12 where we went to eat lunch at Subway at Singapore Polytechnic. On top of that, Leong Wai helped mr chan buy his lunch(hehe, something did happen). Next, the biology students made their way back to school where we had our bio practical with mr chan at 1.30. Ohoh, the first thing we did was to look at the sheep heart upclose and wow, it was definitely slimy with our rubber gloves on. We managed to look at the blood vessels connecting to the heart and the bloodflow in the heart. We played with the heart =x (ya, it was disgusting and mine had blood all over) before we wrapped it up and threw it away.. We then moved on to our second practical, the terrarium! I was excited about it as I have not done it myself before. The only bad thing was that the weather was so HOT and we were sweating all over as we went round the school to collect pebbles. Mr Chan supplied us with the soil and plants and in the end, I had succeeded in my terrarium. It is wonderful to see evergrowing life in the terrarium without us interfering with it. We took a bus to Beauty World before we had lots of fun there. I left around 5+ and drank Blueberry bubble tea on my way home. Tomorrow I would have Road Safety with my sec 1 cadets =D

6 more days... and counting. (Sighs) I got to prepare my uniform for tmr.

Cya guys. Bye.
